Find Yoakum County Projected Release Dates

A Yoakum County projected release date answers when a sentenced person may leave custody under the rules now applied to the case. It is not an actual exit time. A person awaiting trial at the county jail usually has no computed prison release date because bond, court action, transfer, or case disposition controls the next step. A sentenced state prisoner may have a projected date in the state corrections offender search. Anyone asking when will they be released should first identify the custodian, then read each date label with care. Credits, parole action, court orders, holds, and later corrections can change the result.

Yoakum Projected Versus Actual Release

A projected release date is a present estimate. TDCJ calculates it from the sentence and the release framework that applies to a current state prisoner. The public record may also show a maximum sentence date, parole eligibility date, or a scheduled-release date, type, and location when processing has reached that stage. Each field means something different. None should be relabeled as the date the person physically left custody.

Scheduled versus actual: A projected or scheduled date can change. Only the later release or discharge record establishes the historical event.

A pretrial detainee at the Yoakum County Law Enforcement Center normally has no TDCJ-style projected date. Release can depend on bond, dismissal, a court order, or transfer. Even after a judge signs an order, the jail must complete release processing. The court file explains the authority; the sheriff's booking-out entry supplies the physical release time. A transfer entry shows that custody continued elsewhere.

Projected release date
TDCJ's estimate under the sentence, credits, and current release rules.
Parole eligibility date
The point when parole review may become legally possible, not an approval.
Maximum sentence date
A separate sentence endpoint calculation, not a promise of confinement until that day.
Actual release date
The historical date shown after the custodian records the person's exit.

Find Yoakum Projected Release Dates

Start with the type of custody. The TDCJ Online Inmate Search is the right channel for a person currently incarcerated in a TDCJ unit. It does not calculate a county bond-out and it excludes people who have already left TDCJ incarceration. For a Yoakum County jail sentence, use the sentencing court, sheriff, and jail records. For a person still awaiting trial, look for bond and court action rather than a computed prison date.

  1. Identify the custodian. Confirm whether the person is in the Yoakum County Law Enforcement Center, a TDCJ unit, or another system.
  2. Match the person. For TDCJ, use the TDCJ or SID number. A name search needs the exact surname and at least the first initial; add identity fields to reduce false matches.
  3. Read every date label. Compare projected release, maximum sentence, parole eligibility, and any scheduled-release block with the current facility and offense record.
  4. Check the legal record. Match the offense county, cause number, sentence, and later court orders. A new sentence or detainer may affect timing.
  5. Confirm the current estimate. Use TDCJ information channels for a state prisoner. Ask the court and sheriff for a county sentence computation and booking-out record.

TDCJ says its online data is updated on working days and is at least 24 hours old. A recent change may not yet appear. When the person no longer appears, request historical actual-release and discharge information rather than saying the search confirmed release. The broader Yoakum County release-record path distinguishes county, state, federal, and immigration custody.

Yoakum TDCJ Release Date Fields

The TDCJ result list can show name, TDCJ number, race, gender, projected release date, unit, and age. Detail may add the maximum sentence date, current facility, parole eligibility, scheduled-release information, and offense history. A Yoakum County cause appears there only if the person entered TDCJ custody. A routine bond release from the Yoakum County jail does not create a new state-prison record.

TDCJ fieldHow to read it
Release Date LookupA current estimate that can be recalculated
Parole EligibilityA review threshold, not a grant or exit date
Scheduled ReleaseCurrent processing details that may still change
Maximum Sentence DateA separate endpoint under the sentence record
Current FacilityThe TDCJ unit reported for the currently incarcerated person

The official definition page shows how TDCJ frames the projection. Review the TDCJ projected-release definition before treating any date as fixed.

The captured definition reinforces that Board action and case eligibility can affect the date shown for a state prisoner.

Note: Record the access time and exact field label because a later TDCJ update can change the displayed projection.

Yoakum Release Date Good Time

Texas good-conduct time is governed chiefly by Government Code Chapter 498. Section 498.003 addresses classification and accrual. Section 498.004 says good conduct affects eligibility for parole or mandatory supervision and does not otherwise reduce the judicial sentence. The credit is not a vested promise that a fixed number of days will be removed. Classification, offense date and category, exclusions, discipline, forfeiture, and possible restoration matter.

Texas has no universal rule requiring every prisoner to serve 85 percent. Under the current Chapter 508 framework, specified serious-offense, weapon-finding, and organized-crime cases generally use actual calendar time equal to one-half of the sentence or 30 years, whichever is less, with at least two years. The broad “any other inmate” formula generally uses calendar time plus good time equal to one-quarter of the sentence or 15 years, whichever is less. Special categories have other rules. The offense date and live statute control.

Mandatory supervision is not automatic for every person. Sections 508.147 and 508.149 address the calendar-plus-good-time framework, exclusions, and Board review. For eligible cases covered by the modern discretionary process, denial can move the projection toward maximum expiration, while a later approval can move it earlier. Thus, good time and Board action affect the path to possible release without rewriting the sentence itself.

The statute source can be checked in the captured image. Open Chapter 498 for the current good-conduct text.

Yoakum State-Jail Release Credits

State-jail-felony terms follow a distinct path. TDCJ states that people serving those terms do not earn ordinary good-conduct time. For qualifying offenses committed on or after September 1, 2011, TDCJ reports diligent participation to the judge before 80 percent of the term is complete. The judge may award up to 20 percent credit. This is an “80 percent report and up to 20 percent credit” process, not an 85 percent rule.

Diligent participation can concern work, treatment, education, or other qualifying activity under the program's rules. It is the court's award, not an automatic TDCJ reduction. Check the offense date, judgment, TDCJ record, and any signed court action. The TDCJ diligent-participation page supplies the official framework. Do not apply this state-jail-felony process to a misdemeanor sentence served at the Yoakum County Law Enforcement Center.

Yoakum County Jail Release Date

A sentence served in the Yoakum County Law Enforcement Center requires a county-specific record trail. Ask the sentencing court and jail for the commitment, sentence start, jail-time credit, any good-time policy applied by the sheriff where legally available, and the later release entry. Texas Code of Criminal Procedure Article 42.032 addresses county-jail commutation for good conduct in qualifying circumstances. It must be read with the judgment and local administration.

Do not transfer TDCJ's projected-date formula to the county jail. A county defendant may also be held before trial, transferred after a felony commitment, or kept on a detainer from another agency. The sheriff's record should distinguish release from transfer and identify the destination or authority when that field is available. The court may set the legal basis, but the booking-out entry records when the physical exit was processed.

Call the Law Enforcement Center's 24-hour line at 806-456-2377 for current status. For exact proof, ask the Yoakum County Sheriff's Office for the booking sheet, release entry, and custody-movement record. No official routine release hour or public county release-date calculator was found, so neither should be assumed.

Why Yoakum Release Dates Change

A projected release date reflects facts known to the computing agency at that time. Later discipline, credit correction, a new case, a hold, a court order, or Board action can alter it. A detainer is a request or legal basis for another agency to assume custody. It may prevent community release even when the current sentence reaches a release point.

FactorPossible effectBest confirmation
Credit adjustmentMoves the calculation after time is added or correctedTDCJ Classification and Records or county sentence record
DisciplineCan forfeit good time or change classificationTDCJ record and Chapter 498 rules
Detainer or new sentenceCan continue custody or require recalculationMovement record, court file, and receiving agency
Parole Board actionMay approve, deny, defer, or withdraw a release pathBPP status and Review and Release
Court orderCan change sentence credit, commitment, or release authoritySigned order and clerk record

A Board approval is not physical release that day. Program placement, release planning, conditions, consecutive terms, or detainers may remain. Likewise, a county court bond notation does not prove that the jail completed processing. Pair each legal or administrative event with the custodian's later exit record.

Yoakum Release Date Channel Sweep

No single Yoakum County system covers every projected and actual release date. The access path changes with custody. For a current TDCJ inmate, use the online search, then email or telephone information channels if the detail is unclear. For a former TDCJ inmate, request historical release and discharge facts because the current-only locator will stop returning the record. For parole review, use Board and TDCJ status channels. For county custody, use the court judgment plus the sheriff's booking and release entries.

Notification services answer a narrower question. County VINELink can report an agency custody event, while TDCJ IVSS covers state-prison and parole notifications. Neither is a certified county release ledger. A VINE release event might be an exit from the reporting facility followed by transfer. Confirm the destination and time with the responsible custodian. The dedicated Yoakum County VINE inmate check explains the person-specific county and state notification paths.

Federal and immigration custody require different systems. A county release entry marked for USMS or ICE is not community release. The BOP locator covers federal sentences, ICE ODLS is a current detention locator, and a federal docket or records request may be needed for history. This full channel sweep prevents a projected state date from being applied to the wrong custodian.

Note: Use no more than two internal page links; official agency links supply the evidence for each custody channel.

Confirm Yoakum Actual Release Dates

After an expected date passes, obtain the actual record. For TDCJ, ask for the actual release date and type, sentence-discharge date, and any supervision office. TDCJ lists email and telephone routes, including 936-295-6371 and 800-535-0283 during published weekday business hours. When the TDCJ number is unknown, exact date of birth helps prevent a false match. A written Public Information Act request is the stronger route for a documented history.

For the Yoakum County jail, use the official sheriff contact and call 806-456-2377 for present status. Request the booking/release and movement entries for historical proof. State the full name, booking dates, and booking number when known. Ask for the recorded release date and time, release type or authority, and destination. If a court authorized release before jail processing ended, keep both records. Follow the cause through the County Clerk or District Clerk. Each source documents a different step.

A record that says “released” still needs context. Bond leaves a case pending. Parole starts state supervision. Sentence completion may end custody while another legal duty remains. Transfer means another custodian took control. The actual release date is reliable only when it is matched to the person, booking or sentence, agency, and precise event recorded.
